About

Jo is a fully registered physiotherapist, Pilates and fitness instructor.  Graduating in 2007 she has spent over ten years working with a huge scope of different patients, initially working in various hospital settings, then moving to private practice, rugby clubs and climbing walls.  Her work includes working with all kinds of the general public to Olympians and athletes from the Great Britain Paralympic ski and snowboard team.

Jo is a passionate outdoor sports enthusiast and enjoys sports that include snowboarding/skiing, climbing, biking on/and off road and triathlons. This combined with her experience in competing at National level gymnastics, has given her a greater understanding of the sports person and outdoor enthusiast.

Her past experience working with sports teams and competing as an athlete herself enables Jo to not only treat acute injuries, but to also work on injury prevention, rebuilding fitness levels through a mixture of specialist techniques she’s developed in her career including yoga for physiotherapists, biomechanics of gait,  and spinal manipulation.

Jo has worked in South Wales and London and worked with Olympic athletes and travelled with the GB para teams all over the world.  More recently she has worked with the Chinese Snowboard team.  She has spent the last eight seasons in Val Dl’sere treating many acute and chronic ski/snowboard injuries, specialising in bio-mechanics and Pilates.  Jo spends summers within Chamonix Mont-Blanc, Val D’lsere and clinics back in the Uk.

Sport massage Diploma (level 4)
Pilates (via APPI method) and HIT pilates 1, Spin instructor

 

Methods of treatment include: manipulation, myofascia release, Dry needling, Myofascial Kinesio Taping, Bike fit analysis and strength and conditioning/rehab advice
