Jo is a fully registered physiotherapist, Pilates and fitness instructor. Graduating in 2007 she has spent over ten years working with a huge scope of different patients, initially working in various hospital settings, then moving to private practice, rugby clubs and climbing walls. My work includes working with all kinds of the general public to Olympians and athletes from the Great Britain Paralympic ski and snowboard team.
Jo is a passionate outdoor sports enthusiast and enjoys sports that include snowboarding/skiing, climbing, biking on/and off road and triathlons. This combined with her experience in competing at National level gymnastics, has given her a greater understanding of the sports person and outdoor enthusiast.
Her past experience working with sports teams and competing as an athlete herself enables Jo to not only treat acute injuries, but to also work on injury prevention, rebuilding fitness levels through a mixture of specialist techniques she’s developed in her career including yoga for physiotherapists, biomechanics of gait, and spinal manipulation.
Jo has worked in South Wales and London and recently traveled with the GB para teams all over the world. She has spent the last seven seasons in Val Dl’sere treating many acute and chronic ski/snowboard injuries, specialising in bio-mechanics and Pilates. This summer Jo has been working with a diverse range of GP referrals to competitive athletes in Chamonix Mont-Blanc.
